Train Guards - Bank - DOI-024514

Job Purpose: Support the safe and smooth operation of the Isle of Man Steam Railway by acting as a Train Guard, assisting passengers, checking and selling tickets, and helping ensure an enjoyable experience for visitors and locals.  

Duties  
- Act as Guard on steam train services between Douglas and Port Erin.
- Ensure passengers board, travel and leave trains safely.
- Sell and check tickets using an electronic ticket machine.
- Answer passenger questions and provide information.
- Complete journey reports and other required paperwork.
- Prepare and clean train carriages before and during service.
- Carry out additional duties as requested by management.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and overtime when required.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills  
- Knowledge of the Isle of Man tourism and hospitality industry.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
