Job Purpose: Provide technical and administrative support to the Support Services Team and the wider Income Tax Division. Deliver excellent customer service by supporting IT systems, online services and office administration to ensure the team operates efficiently.
Duties
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software and network issues.
- Process technical queries relating to the Division's online services.
- Monitor and manage team inboxes and workflow queues.
- Raise fault tickets and liaise with third-party providers when required.
- Assist with testing IT systems and new developments.
- Create and update standard letter templates within Taxlive.
- Set up IT access, network accounts and ID cards for new starters.
- Remove systems access for leavers and process internal staff changes.
- Organise office moves, desk moves and accommodation access.
- Order and manage stationery, furniture, equipment and first aid supplies.
- Process invoices, purchase card reconciliations and purchase orders.
- Arrange travel bookings and prepare travel approval documents.
- Organise confidential waste disposal and recorded deliveries.
- Support projects and complete other administrative tasks as required.
- Coach Administrative Assistants and provide supervision when the Support Services Manager is absent.
- Carry out quality checks and support continuous improvement within the team.
- Follow confidentiality, data protection, health and safety and government policies at all times.

Desirable Skills
- Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English Language, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in an administrative role within a finance-related, customer-focused organisation.
- Experience working with information systems.
- Knowledge of Manx Income Tax and National Insurance.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
