Job Purpose: Provide technical and administrative support to the Support Services Team and the wider Income Tax Division, delivering excellent customer service while supporting online services, IT systems and day-to-day business operations.
Duties
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software and network issues, escalating faults where required.
- Respond to technical enquiries relating to the Division's online services.
- Monitor and manage team inboxes and workflow queues, ensuring requests are dealt with promptly.
- Assist with testing IT systems to ensure they operate effectively.
- Create and update standard letter templates within the Taxlive system.
- Manage stock levels and order stationery, office supplies and equipment.
- Set up IT access, network accounts and ID cards for new starters.
- Update or remove system access for staff changing roles or leaving the Division.
- Coordinate office moves, including furniture, IT equipment and accommodation access.
- Process invoices, purchase card statements and travel bookings.
- Arrange secure disposal of confidential waste and recorded document deliveries.
- Support projects and carry out additional system-related work as required.
- Coach Administrative Assistants and supervise the team in the absence of the Support Services Manager.
- Carry out quality checks to maintain high standards across the team.
Essential Skills
- Experience dealing with customer enquiries.

Desirable Skills
- Five GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above), including English Language, or equivalent.
- Experience in an administrative role within a finance or client-focused environment.
- Experience using information systems.
- Knowledge of Manx Income Tax and National Insurance.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
