Strang Stores is looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to join its small, busy team for the remainder of the summer, working approximately 20 hours per week, including some weekend hours.
The role is initially for approximately five weeks, with an immediate start available. There may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent for the right person.
Duties will include:
• Serving customers and operating the till and card machine
• Counter service, including serving takeaway food
• Replenishing shelves and keeping displays tidy
• Helping to keep the shop clean and welcoming
• Other general shop duties as required
Previous retail or customer service experience would be useful but is not essential, as training will be provided. More importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude who is willing to work hard, learn and help as part of a busy team.
