Job Purpose: Provide a high-quality service to students, families and education providers by processing student support applications and handling enquiries in line with Student Awards Regulations.  

The Duties  
- Process student award applications accurately and on time in line with regulations and procedures.
- Input and maintain student records, including financial details, tax information and verification checks.
- Manage cases proactively, requesting further information where needed to progress applications.
- Calculate award entitlements and communicate decisions to students and parents.
- Process withdrawals and support reclaim decisions, preparing information for senior officers.
- Respond to enquiries from students, families and education institutions by phone, email and in writing.
- Maintain high customer service standards and meet agreed service levels.
- Produce and maintain accurate management information and statistical reports.
- Support system testing, reviews of working practices and service improvements.
- Organise and support Student Awards Review Panels, including appeals administration.
- Provide general administrative support, records management and cover during busy periods.
- Attend events to provide information on Student Awards when required.

Essential Skills  
- Clear and confident communication, both face to face and on the telephone.
- Ability to deal with enquiries politely, professionally and effectively.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and calculations.
- Ability to remain focused under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills and a supportive team-working approach.

Desirable Skills  
- GCSEs including English Language at Grade C (4) or above, or equivalent.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise work.
- Confidence in identifying key information and solving routine problems.
- Willingness to suggest improvements and adapt to changing demands.
- Experience of administrative systems and producing reports.

This is a limited term contract for 1 year.
