Job Purpose: To help provide clinical and non-clinical supplies across Manx Care facilities, Government Departments and external clients. The role includes warehouse duties, stock control, deliveries and general store administration.
Duties
- Receive, unload and store deliveries safely and correctly.
- Check delivery notes and report shortages, damages or issues.
- Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate stock records.
- Use handheld scanners and stock systems to track products and equipment.
- Prepare and deliver orders to departments and customers.
- Record stock movements and deliveries on the system.
- Communicate with suppliers, couriers and service users to resolve issues.
- Help maintain organised stock areas and warehouse labelling.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Handle telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries professionally.
- Support urgent deliveries during emergencies when needed.
- Carry out general housekeeping to keep work areas safe and tidy.
- Use warehouse equipment and vehicles safely when trained to do so.
- Cover delivery driving duties when required.
- Assist with cleaning and dismantling equipment if needed.
- Support emergency supply distribution during situations such as pandemics.
- Help check invoices and resolve payment or supply queries.
- Complete training and keep skills up to date.

- Good keyboard and record-keeping skills.
- Physically able to carry out warehouse and delivery duties.
- Full valid driving licence.
- Willingness to complete training and development.
- 3 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, or relevant experience.
Desirable Skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Retail and Warehouse Distribution or similar qualification.
- Experience working in stores, warehousing or supplies distribution.
- Experience working directly with customers.
- Experience using stock control or bar-coding systems.
- Knowledge of Isle of Man Government financial regulations.
- Forklift truck licence.
- Isle of Man worker status.
