We’re pleased to announce that the STEP Programme 2026 is expanding and will now be open to undergraduate students in their second, third or final year of university.  

KEY DATES:  
Applications Close: 01 May 2026  
Placements Start: 22 June 2026  
Placements End: 14 August 2026  
Step Final: 14 August 2026  

*Please note: Student applicants must be available for the entirety of the eight week project period, and also to attend the Step Final.


UNDERGRADUATE BENEFITS:

PAST PROJECTS HAVE INCLUDED:
- Manufacturing concept, design and development
- Setting up IT and/or accountancy systems
- Design and implementation of websites
- Marketing plans
- Research, strategy and policy
- Setting up of systems e.g. ISO 9000, ISO 14001, IIP, H&S etc.
- Design of company literature
- Analysis of production methods
- Environmental audits and follow-up work
- Design of new product concept
