Strang Stores is looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to help its small, busy team. This is a zero-hours role, with around 20 hours per week expected and possibly more. You’ll need to be flexible, as shifts may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. An immediate start is available.
Duties will include:
- Serving customers and operating the till and card machine
- Counter service, including serving takeaway food
- Replenishing shelves and keeping displays tidy
- Helping to keep the shop clean and welcoming
- Other general shop duties as needed
- Previous retail or customer service experience would be useful, but training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who is willing to learn, work hard and help the team wherever needed.
Applicants aged 18 or over are preferred, as the role may include duties covered by the drinks licence. Applicants aged 17 who will soon turn 18 will also be considered.
Pay for an 18-year-old: £12.90 per hour, plus £1.07 per hour holiday supplement.
