Job Purpose: Provide secretarial and administrative support to clinical teams across Noble’s Hospital and Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital. The role involves audio typing, preparing documents, handling confidential information, and supporting smooth day-to-day office operations.  

Duties  
- Audio and copy type clinical and non-clinical documents, including medical reports.
- Prepare letters, reports, memos and other routine correspondence.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and handle confidential patient information.
- Sort and prioritise test results for medical staff.
- Arrange meetings and prepare meeting materials.
- Answer telephone calls and deal with enquiries from patients, relatives and staff.
- Liaise with hospital departments and other healthcare organisations.
- Update office guidance documents when required.
- Support other members of the secretarial team during busy periods or staff absence.
- Work across different hospital specialities to meet typing and administration deadlines.
- Carry out additional administrative duties as required.

Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a busy office or secretarial role.
- Audio transcription or typing qualifications.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience of multi-tasking in an office environment.
- GCSE English Language grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualification.
- Isle of Man worker status.
