We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person to join the team as a Science Club leader. They will run our activities and experiments during after school clubs and/or holiday clubs. Activities, equipment and training will be provided. The successful candidate will show a good sense of intuition to take charge of situations involving a group of young children.
The position would suit a person ideally with prior experience of working with young people. You will be instructing children on how to complete activities safely and also clean away equipment and ensuring children leave safely with their responsible adult.
Candidates will be invited for interview if they have demonstrated experience working with children and will be asked to describe times they have taken initiative to complete a task and confidence to handle delicate situations.
The clubs are held at various times and locations around the island and so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred. An enhanced DBS check will be completed for successful candidates.
Due to the nature of this role, where the Science Club leader will be in charge of children and working with harmful substances; in accordance with the ‘Employment of Children Regulations (2018)', the assistant must be over 18.
