School Cleaner - Onchan Primary School - P/T - DOES-025168

Summary: Help keep the school clean and safe by working as part of the cleaning team. You’ll clean classrooms, toilets, halls, and other areas, making sure everything is hygienic and tidy for staff and students.  

Main Duties:  
- Clean all areas of the school including floors, surfaces, windows, toilets, and bins.
- Use cleaning tools and machines (training provided).
- Follow health and safety rules, especially when using cleaning products.
- Spot and report any hazards, faults, or maintenance issues.
- Help with moving furniture and school equipment when needed.
- Open and close the building (if required).
- Be friendly and respectful to staff, students, and visitors.
- Follow safeguarding procedures to help keep children safe.  

Essential Skills & Requirements:  
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Able to work alone and stay motivated.
- Committed to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable, flexible, and takes pride in the job.
- Physically able to do cleaning tasks (standing, lifting, etc.).
- Understands the importance of working safely around children.
- Satisfactory police check.
  
Desirable Skills:  
- First Aid certificate.
- Knowledge of COSHH (safe use of cleaning chemicals).
- Experience using cleaning machines.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
