Risk Officer / Trainee

As a Risk Officer / Trainee, you will support the day-to-day operation of Suntera Global’s Risk function. Reporting to the Head of Risk, the role will help coordinate risk and control assessments, assess third-party risk, manage incidents through to resolution and support the Group’s operational resilience arrangements.  

The successful candidate will work with teams across the business to maintain clear risk records, monitor agreed actions and support effective risk reporting and decision-making.  

In this role you will:  
- Support risk activities across the business
- Help maintain records, reports, action trackers and governance documentation
- Assist with risk assessments, reviews, testing and monitoring activities
- Work with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions to strengthen controls and support good governance
- Contribute to incident management, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives

What we are looking for:  

You will be motivated, curious and eager to learn, with strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A degree, equivalent qualification or relevant practical experience, with a genuine interest in risk, assurance, governance, compliance or data protection
- Willingness to undertake relevant professional development, supported by Suntera (for example IRM, IIA, ICA or IAPP)
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach
