Job Purpose: Support pupils during the lunchtime period, supervising in the dining hall and playground to promote safe, positive behaviour and play.  

Duties  
- Supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period, including in the dining room and playground.
- Promote creative, safe and positive play and activities in the playground.
- Maintain pupils’ safety, welfare and discipline under the direction of the Headteacher.
- Deal with incidents and provide first attention/first aid where required, recording details as needed.
- Encourage pupils to use good manners, eat their lunch, and enjoy their break safely.
- Act as a point of contact between pupils and teaching staff.

Essential Skills  
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with children and staff.
- Ability to encourage and promote play and positive behaviour.
- Calm, responsible approach to managing safety and minor incidents.
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Able to meet safeguarding requirements, including a police check.

Desirable skills
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
- Basic first aid knowledge or confidence providing first attention.
