Summary: Join the OHR Recruitment Team to help attract, advertise, and onboard great candidates into the Isle of Man Public Service. You'll support hiring managers and applicants throughout the recruitment process, ensuring adverts are engaging, processes are smooth, and communication is timely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit and post job adverts
- Liaise with hiring managers and agencies
- Manage applications and interview invites via the e-recruitment system
- Monitor shared inboxes and respond to queries
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service
- Use social media to promote vacancies
- Occasionally join interview panels or support recruitment events
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in customer service
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and social media
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
- Good time management and organisation
- Confidence using multiple online systems
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Self-motivated and adaptable to change
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above including English)
- HR, recruitment, or marketing experience
- Previous office-based experience
- Knowledge of job descriptions and recruitment best practices
- Familiarity with data protection principles
- Isle of Man Worker status
