Job Purpose: Provide a friendly first point of contact while supporting day-to-day admin tasks to keep Transport Services running smoothly.
Duties
- Welcome visitors and manage the reception area, helping with queries and directions
- Answer and direct phone calls using the switchboard
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing post and emails
- Monitor and order stationery and supplies, including processing invoices
- Provide general admin support such as typing, filing and note-taking
- Help organise meetings, prepare rooms and arrange refreshments
- Manage the complaints inbox and support reporting processes
- Support digital monitoring and reporting tasks
- Process Free School Travel applications and assist with Go Card admin
- Complete training and take on other duties when needed
Essential Skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Organised with good planning skills
- Able to work well with others and communicate with different people
- Reliable, flexible and positive attitude
- Team player with a focus on quality service
- Isle of Man Worker
Desirable Skills
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience in admin or customer service roles
- Experience answering phones and dealing with the public
- Experience managing records or data
- Experience ordering supplies and handling invoices
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Professional, approachable and able to build good relationships
