We are seeking a friendly, confident, and patient-focused Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) to join our team full-time from January 2026.  

This frontline role is central to our mission of making every patient feel valued and supported. As an MCA, you will deliver excellent customer service, provide safe over-the-counter advice within your training, ask the right questions to identify symptoms and red flags, and refer to the pharmacist when appropriate.  You will help patients with prescription queries, signpost them to NHS and private services, and support the smooth running of the pharmacy during busy periods.  

Day-to-day duties include:  
- serving customers accurately at the till
- maintaining a clean and organised counter area
- managing OTC stock rotation and merchandising
- supporting the dispensary team when needed
- promoting pharmacy products and services.

We are looking for someone with an Medicines Counter Assistant qualification (or working towards it), and we will also consider applicants with previous experience in healthcare, beauty, or busy retail environments who can demonstrate strong communication, customer care, and organisational skills; the official MCA training course will be provided and required as part of the role.

This is a full-time position (37.5–42.5 hours), including Saturday mornings.
