Job Purpose: Support pupils during lunchtime by helping to create a safe, positive and friendly environment in the dining hall and playground. You will encourage good behaviour, support positive play and help children enjoy their lunch break.
Duties
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground
- Encourage safe, creative and positive play activities
- Support pupils with good manners and positive behaviour
- Help pupils enjoy their lunch break safely
- Provide first aid support when needed
- Work closely with teaching staff and other colleagues
- Act as a point of contact between pupils and staff
- Help maintain a caring and supportive school environment

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills
- Experience working with children or in a school environment
- Basic first aid knowledge

- No formal qualifications or previous experience are required for this role
- Part-time, term-time only role with school-friendly hours (usually 5–7 hours per week)
- Pay is currently £12.86 - £14.01 per hour depending on experience
- Opportunities to progress into other education-based roles in the future
