Lunchtime Assistant - Marown Primary School - DOES-025648

Job Purpose: Help pupils at Marown Primary School enjoy a safe and positive lunchtime by supervising them in the dining room and playground.  

Duties:  
- Supervise pupils and help keep them safe during lunchtime.  
- Encourage good manners, positive behaviour and safe play.  
- Encourage children to eat their lunch and enjoy their break.  
- Deal with incidents and provide first aid when required.
- Work with teaching staff and report any concerns about pupils.
- Keep information about pupils confidential.

Essential Skills:
- Experience of working with children.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Ability to encourage play and good behaviour.
- Basic understanding of health and safety.
- A warm, approachable and enthusiastic manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn.
- A satisfactory enhanced police check with barring.

Desirable Skills:
- A current First Aid Certificate.
- Basic knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene and first aid.
- Isle of Man worker status.
