Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, equipment, and utensils to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling ingredients, and basic food handling under supervision.
- Support the catering team during events by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring service areas are tidy.
- Handle waste disposal responsibly, ensuring proper segregation and disposal of recyclables and trash.
- Support the cleaning of dishware, cookware, and kitchen tools to ensure readiness for daily use.
- Help with general kitchen organization by storing supplies correctly and restocking items as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe environment for staff and guests.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and hygiene standards is advantageous.
- Experience in food service or culinary settings demonstrates an understanding of kitchen operations.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning protocols specific to commercial kitchens is beneficial.
- Prior banquet or event support experience can be a plus but is not required.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. This role requires extra hours and weekend work when events are held.
