Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Junior Receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in administration and office support. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organised, and presentable reception area
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
- Provide basic administrative support to the wider team
- Handle general enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Assist with data entry, filing, and document management
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when required
Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional telephone manner
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths preferred
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous but not essential
