The Shore is looking for a Junior Front of House Team Member to work across our award-winning fine-dining restaurant and bar.
Some previous hospitality or customer-service experience would be preferred—even if it’s only a few months—but we can provide training for someone with the right attitude, motivation and willingness to learn.
What matters most is that you:
- Are friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with guests
- Are enthusiastic about delivering friendly, high-quality service
- Have good attention to detail and notice the little things
- Look smart and take pride in your presentation
- Are reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
- Listen, learn and respond positively to feedback
- Stay calm and helpful when things get busy
- Are comfortable using basic technology, including a tablet-based booking system
- Can follow professional uniform and service standards
- Can work evenings, weekends and key busy periods, including TT, MGP, Christmas and New Year
- You’ll welcome guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, assist in the bar and help create the memorable, high-quality experience The Shore is known for.
You’ll receive hands-on training and support from an experienced Restaurant Manager with an excellent track record of coaching junior team members. As you gain experience, there may also be an opportunity to work towards the Responsible Person qualification, allowing you to take on greater responsibility within the restaurant and bar.
Due to The Shore’s location and the limited public transport available during hospitality hours, you will need a reliable way of travelling to and from Old Laxey for every shift.
