Job Purpose: Support the Information Governance Team at Manx Care to make sure information is handled safely, legally and confidentially. You will help manage data requests, support compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information laws, and provide high quality admin support while working to important deadlines.  

Duties  
- Be the first point of contact for information governance enquiries
- Help process Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information requests and Access to Health Records requests
- Apply redactions and exemptions correctly when sharing information
- Record and manage data breaches and data protection queries
- Support investigations and report any risks to deadlines
- Prepare reports and basic statistical information
- Help with audits and quality assurance checks
- Maintain accurate logs and track requests to ensure deadlines are met
- Respond to phone and email enquiries from the public and professionals
- Provide admin and secretarial support including drafting replies and preparing documents
- Work closely with teams across Manx Care to support compliance
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Take part in training and self-study to build knowledge of Data Protection, GDPR and FOI
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role

Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English Language) at Grade C (4) or above
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet strict deadlines
- Confident working with people at different levels
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Satisfactory Police Check

Desirable skills
- Experience working in a busy office environment
- Experience dealing with information requests or providing advice
- Understanding of Data Protection, GDPR or Freedom of Information
- Experience working within legal or statutory guidelines
- Experience creating reports or presenting information
- Isle of Man Worker status
- Full driving licence
