The Shore is looking for a reliable Housekeeping & Cleaning Assistant to help maintain the high standards of its award-winning luxury hotel and wider premises.
The preferred working days are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, from approximately 10.30am to 1pm.
You’ll mainly clean and prepare hotel bedrooms and bathrooms, change and make beds to the required hotel standard, and ensure each room is ready to welcome our guests. During quieter periods with fewer check-ins, you’ll also help with deeper cleaning in other areas of the establishment, including the restaurant, storeroom, pub and external veranda.
Some previous cleaning or hospitality experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. Training and support will be provided by our Hotel Manager for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

- Are trustworthy, reliable and punctual
- Have a positive attitude and are willing to work hard
- Can follow instructions and work independently
- Are comfortable with the physical demands of cleaning, changing beds and being on your feet
- Listen, learn and respond positively to feedback
- Due to The Shore’s location and the limited public transport available, you will need a reliable way of travelling to and from Old Laxey for every shift
