Job Purpose: Provide a friendly, engaging experience for visitors at Manx National Heritage sites, helping them enjoy and learn about the Island’s heritage while supporting sales, donations and overall site operations.  

Duties  
- Welcome visitors and deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Support reception and front-of-house activities
- Share knowledge about Manx history and heritage with visitors
- Promote the organisation and encourage donations, ticket sales and retail purchases
- Operate tills and handle cash in line with procedures
- Maintain clean, safe and well-presented site areas
- Assist with events, group visits and setting up spaces
- Help with basic marketing content like photos/videos for social media
- Support security and safety of the site and visitors
- Carry out physical tasks such as lifting, moving items and being on your feet most of the day
- Work flexibly across different heritage sites when needed
- Follow health & safety and organisational policies at all times

Essential Skills
- Experience working with customers (e.g. retail, hospitality or similar)
- Confident communication skills (spoken and written)
- Comfortable using IT systems and tills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and basic numeracy skills
- Positive, friendly and proactive attitude
- Flexible to work weekends, bank holidays and different locations
- Physically able to carry out manual tasks and stay active throughout shifts
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Able to meet required pre-employment checks

Desirable Skills
- Experience in retail or sales
- Experience using EPOS/till systems
- Experience handling cash and following procedures
- Knowledge or interest in Manx history and heritage
