Job Purpose: Support the Shared Fleet Services team by managing vehicle parts, consumables and stock, helping to keep the Government fleet operational through efficient ordering, stock control and distribution processes.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the fleet stores.
- Order vehicle parts, materials and consumables from suppliers.
- Raise purchase orders in line with financial procedures and authority limits.
- Receive, check and distribute parts and materials to workshops and end users.
- Monitor outstanding orders and liaise with suppliers to resolve delays.
- Maintain accurate stock records, pricing and part information within management systems.
- Carry out stock control activities, including stock takes and inventory checks.
- Identify obsolete stock and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Support workshop operations through the timely supply of parts and equipment.
- Carry out health and safety checks and equipment inspections.
- Assist with the administration of supporting services, including workshop laundry.
- Produce basic reports and complete administrative tasks as required.
- Support the wider Shared Fleet Services operation as needed.

- Experience working in a stores or warehouse environment.
- Vehicle or mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with data entry and invoice reconciliation.
- Five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English Language.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
