Job Purpose: KPMG in the Crown Dependencies is looking for an individual with good attention to details and strong data skills, to join us as Finance Data Assistant on a permanent basis.
This role is to be the local Finance data support for the Crown Dependencies, working flexibly under the direction of the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
General Onboarding
- Ensuring that client and job codes are opened within our practice management system accurately and on a timely basis to enable: prompt commencement of work; and adherence with our internal risk controls.
- Provide regular updates on onboarding progress, code setup status, and data quality issues to relevant stakeholders.
Data Integrity
- Acting as a key data custodian with ownership for financial client and job codes.
- Ensuring that data integrity is maintained across systems, including reconciliation of data across multiple platforms (e.g. STAR, CEAC, Sentinel, Exiger) to ensure consistency and eliminate duplication or misalignment.
- Ensure codes are correctly structured and aligned with engagement types, billing requirements, and reporting needs.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in client/job data, including tax rate mismatches, office misassignments, and incorrect entity structures.
- Manage the annual roll-forward of job codes, ensuring continuity and correct referencing of prior year codes
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in the code setup and data reconciliation process and propose improvements.
- Participate in discussions around system upgrades or replacements and their impact on onboarding and data management.
Supporting Finance
- Monitor time recording codes and utilisation metrics tied to onboarding activities.
