Job Purpose: To provide customer service and administrative support within the Driver and Vehicle team, ensuring accurate records and efficient processing of driver and vehicle services.
Duties
- Create and maintain records for driving licence holders and registered vehicle keepers.
- Issue and, where appropriate, refuse medical and foreign exchange driving licences.
- Process scrapped vehicles and insurance write offs.
- Issue vehicle registration documents and licence vehicles.
- Write letters, reports, and update forms and guidance notes.
- Carry out database searches.
- Take and process payments, complete daily till reconciliations, handle refunds and journal transfers.
- Arrange bookings for vehicle and driving examinations.
- Support Vehicle and Driving Examiners with day-to-day operations.
- Process and issue Residents’ Parking Permits.
- Assist with testing new IT systems.

Desirable Skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Driver and vehicle administrative experience.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
- Full, valid driving licence.
