Domestic Assistant - MCX-022048

About the Role:   We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Domestic Assistant to join our team at Ramsey Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.  
 
Key Responsibilities:  
- Perform daily domestic duties to ensure patient rooms, wards, and public areas are cleaned in line with infection control protocols.
- Clean crockery and cutlery using hospital-approved thermal disinfectors.
- Remove and dispose of waste food products appropriately.
- Transport meal trolleys, strip and clean them to the required hygiene standards.
- Undertake routine replacement / cleaning of window, bedside, and privacy curtains according to set schedules.
- Clean carpets, upholstery, and soft furnishings as needed.
- Assist with laundry duties and general hospital facilities support.
- Replace liners in domestic waste bins and clean holders as necessary.
- Strip and clean vending machines
- Clean shared-use telephones, keyboards, and computers.
- Conduct routine deep cleaning of bed frames and other key equipment.
- Be part of the immediate response cleaning team for urgent cleaning tasks.

What We’re Looking For:  
- A strong understanding of hygiene and infection control standards (training will be provided).
- The ability to follow procedures and maintain attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
- A team player with good communication skills.
