Role Summary: Cayman National Bank (Isle of Man) Limited is seeking a Client Support Officer who will work as a member of the Client Support Team by undertaking a variety of clerical duties including undertaking periodic and trigger reviews, processing external and internal transactions, processing static data changes, undertaking other non-customer facing administrative duties and assisting with customer queries. The Client Support Officer will ensure that client service excellence is delivered to both internal and external clients by following the policies and procedures of the bank.
The Client Support Team are responsible for the bank’s key fulfilment and processing activities. The team will deliver a peer-leading level of quality service to prospective, new and existing clients and other internal/external stakeholders.
The team will maintain high quality, flexible and accurate service to our customers, both internal and external, whilst ensuring that the company continues to meet its regulatory obligations and that our corporate reputation is maintained. Embracing new technology and ideas, an efficient and accurate approach to required duties is expected.
The Client Support Officer is responsible for a variety of tasks, which may be performed on a rotational basis to ensure robust operational service coverage is maintained for the bank’s customers and to create a centre of excellence. Appropriate training/self-development, 121 coaching and performance management will be in place to ensure you become fully competent in all tasks within the team where/when required.
Essential functions and role responsibilities
- As part of the Client Support Team need to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all banking services relevant to the employee’s advised posting within the Banking sub teams.
- Directly dealing with external/internal banking clients, ensuring delivery of a quality and responsive service in respect of all their banking requirements.
- Customer focused approach to deliver timely and accurate risk reviews and trigger events whilst maintaining internal and anti–money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) regulatory standards.
- Contacting clients requesting Customer Due Diligence for periodic reviews and a variety of data changes (trigger events).
- Various type of account administration in the banking system such as opening/closing of accounts and updating customer records.
- Plan and co-ordinate own work to ensure tasks and turnaround times are met, escalating to the Risk & Operations Manager when appropriate with recommendations.
- Support the implementation of any new system/technology advances, revised working practices and procedures to improve the effectiveness/efficiency of the team and deliver an improved service to our customers.
- Deal with telephone queries and requests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ensure all transactions, payments and FX instructions (client, corporate and inter-bank) are carried out accurately, within permitted timescales and in accordance with processes and procedures.
Education/Certification
- Minimum GCSE or equivalent standard with passes in Mathematics and English Language preferred.
Required knowledge
- A good working knowledge of banking systems and procedures
- A practical understanding of anti–money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills with a customer service ethos
- Experience in using standard Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
Minimum experience
- Previous banking, financial services, client administration, operations or compliance experience is essential.
- Experience of AML/CFT reviews and client due diligence processes is essential.
