Job Summary: Join our friendly team delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children and other specialist groups. You'll be responsible for teaching classes using the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, ensuring safety, progression, and fun in every session.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging swim lessons for children and/or adults.
- Create and maintain lesson plans, registers, and assessments.
- Evaluate swimmer progress and recommend awards.
- Set up and store equipment properly.
- Supervise and support assistant swim teachers.
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Pass and maintain the Rescue Test for Teachers.
- Represent the Centre professionally and wear the uniform provided.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Swim England Level 2 Award & Certificate
- Swim England Level 1 (or currently working towards it)
- Strong knowledge of swimming teaching techniques and practices
- Awareness of health & safety procedures in a pool environment
- Ability to plan structured lessons based on a syllabus
- Confident in group and individual class control
- Good observation and assessment skills
- Clear, constructive communicator with children, parents, and colleagues
- Capable of maintaining accurate records
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic
- Patient, trustworthy, and able to follow procedures
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Able to pass a satisfactory Enhanced Police Check

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
- Additional swim teaching qualifications (e.g. pre-school, aqua natal, aqua aerobics)
- IOS Membership (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
- Child protection or equity training (or willing to complete within 6 months)
- Experience teaching people with disabilities (or willing to undertake training within 12 months)
- Understanding of special needs children’s requirements
- Isle of Man Worker status

Salary & benefits

£13.61 per hour (Level 1) or £20.68 per hour (Level 2) + an additional 8.33% rolled up holiday pay
