Role Overview: Support the delivery of arts sessions, workshops, and events for young people at Kensington Arts. You’ll help set up spaces, assist artists and facilitators, and make sure events run smoothly and safely.
This casual role is perfect for friendly, creative people who enjoy working with young people and want to get involved in music, visual arts, and community projects.
Main Duties:
- Help run arts sessions and workshops
- Set up/clear down rooms and equipment
- Greet and support young people and visitors
- Be a helpful contact for artists and facilitators
- Assist at off-site events, including in schools
- Carry out light admin tasks (e.g., filing, data entry)
- Share feedback to improve projects
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and venue policies
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- Friendly, reliable, and approachable
- Interest in working with young people
- Good communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Able to build supportive relationships
- Flexible and team-focused
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
- Must pass an enhanced police check (provided)
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with young people
- Arts or music background
- First Aid or Safeguarding training
- Cash handling or admin experience
- Plays a musical instrument
- Driving licence and own transport
- Knowledge of the local arts/music scene
