Job Purpose: To help the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) run smoothly by managing the Data Protection Register and providing day-to-day admin support to the team. You’ll play a key part in protecting people’s information rights across the Isle of Man.    

Duties  
- Keep the Register of Controllers and Processors up to date
- Check organisations have registered and renewed correctly
- Amend or cancel register entries when needed
- Make sure renewal notices are sent and fees are paid
- Manage related paperwork and records
- Maintain accurate admin records, including leave and absence records
- Record incoming and outgoing mail
- Manage stationery, equipment and office supplies
- Help coordinate office maintenance and servicing
- Support with diary management
- Take accurate minutes at key meetings
- Support records retention and maintain filing and archiving systems
- Welcome visitors, answer calls and respond to enquiries or complaints
- Organise and update office procedure guidance
- Use a purchase card to order supplies and manage petty cash
- Carry out other reasonable admin duties as required

Essential Skills
- Organised and able to manage a busy workload
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken
- Friendly and professional manner
- High level of personal integrity and confidentiality
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage your own workload
- Satisfactory Police Check

Desirable Skills
- Experience in an administration or office management role
- Experience working in a public authority or regulatory environment
- Experience keeping records, databases or registers up to date
- Experience managing office supplies and admin systems
- Diary management experience
- Experience working in a changing organisation
- Confident taking accurate meeting minutes
- Isle of Man Worker
