The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and motivated **Audit & Accounts Trainee** to join a growing accountancy practice in the Isle of Man.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or school leaver looking to build a long-term career in accountancy, with full support towards a professional **ACA or ACCA qualification**.

You will gain hands-on experience across audit and accounting, working closely with experienced accountants and auditors and gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of Isle of Man and international clients.

The Role

As an Audit & Accounts Trainee, you will receive structured training and progressively take on greater responsibility.

Your duties will include:

* Assisting with the preparation of accounts and financial statements
* Supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Preparing audit schedules and working papers
* Assisting with testing and gathering audit evidence
* Attending client meetings and, where required, client premises
* Performing bookkeeping and reconciliations
* Preparing accounting schedules and supporting documentation
* Assisting with tax computations and returns
* Analysing financial information and identifying discrepancies
* Maintaining accurate and well-organised client files
* Liaising with clients and third-party organisations
* Supporting senior team members and managers on a range of assignments
* Developing a strong understanding of accounting standards, audit procedures and regulatory requirements

As your experience develops, you will be given increasing responsibility and greater involvement in client assignments.

Qualifications

3 A Levels at Grade B or above (120 UCAS points), or any degree.
