Job Purpose: Support the Financial Systems team within Treasury by helping manage and maintain Government financial systems, ensuring accurate financial processing and providing day-to-day operational support.
Duties
- Support accounting tasks such as processing receipts, journals and financial transactions
- Help monitor Government bank accounts, including cheque processing and reconciliations
- Record and allocate incoming payments accurately and prepare daily reports
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including tracking and chasing outstanding payments
- Support management of Government loans and mortgage records
- Upload bank statements and process financial system journals
- Monitor and resolve issues within purchase ledger and financial systems
- Assist with payment runs, including printing and preparing BACS payments
- Help manage system data such as suppliers, customers, codes and cost centres
- Respond to finance system queries from departments, suppliers and customers
- Support system improvements and data cleansing for new financial system implementation
- Work as part of a team, attend meetings and contribute ideas for improvements
- Take part in training and ongoing development to build financial and technical skills

- Ability to explain technical information in a simple way
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience working with different stakeholders or departments
