Job Purpose: Provide financial and administrative support to Government Departments, Boards and Offices through Finance Shared Services. Help ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Duties:
- Process debtor and creditor invoices accurately and on time.
- Receipt daily banking and reconcile financial records.
- Balance debtor spreadsheets and monitor outstanding debts.
- Chase overdue payments and issue reminders.
- Process journals and reconcile financial information.
- Set up and maintain customer and supplier accounts on the finance system.
- Respond to telephone, email and written enquiries from customers, suppliers and Government departments.
- Monitor shared inboxes and process requests promptly.
- Process banking, payments and other financial transactions.
- Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of financial records.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes using technology and digital solutions.
- Support colleagues across Finance Shared Services as required.
- Attend training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow financial regulations, data protection and government policies at all times.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a customer service environment.
- Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
