Test Analyst

In this role you will be required to plan and design test plans and test cases, execute test plans and report and track issues and defects.

Responsibilities or Duties

1. Making Tests for Computer Programs:
   - Create plans and cases to test if computer programs work well.
2. Testing How Programs Work:
   - Check if different parts of computer programs do what they're supposed to.
3. Reporting and Fixing Problems:
   - Tell others if there's something wrong with the programs and keep an eye on fixing them.
4. Checking Other Important Things:
   - Test if the programs work well in different ways, like being fast, safe, and reliable.
5. Using Different Testing Methods:
   - Test programs in different ways, depending on how they're made.
6. Following Rules and Laws:
   - Make sure testing is done the right way, following rules and laws for data protection.

Skills required

• Experience in a testing role
• Good understanding of the project lifecycle with particular emphasis on testing activities
• Experienced in the specification, design, and production of testing documentation
• Understand the importance of logging, analysing, and reporting bugs/incidents
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in test management tools and defect tracking tools

Industry qualifications

• ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Foundation Agile (desirable)
