We are recruiting for a Pension Administrator in our Isle of Man office (based at the Isle of Man Business Park) to provide support to our busy international administration team.
This would suit someone looking to begin or progress their career in the finance industry and learn about trusteeship and associated administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Our international administration team provides day-to-day support for matters arising with various international retirement savings plans for which Boal & Co is trustee.
The role involves dealing with employers with internationally dispersed employees (including many FT ‘Global 500’ companies), pension scheme members, financial advisers and third-party service providers to respond to queries and ensure, as part of a wider team, the delivery of a first-class service.
Duties can include the following (full training will be provided and specific experience is not required for the right individual):
• General pension trustee administration
• Withdrawals, transfers and benefit claims
• Responding to general queries via email, telephone and face to face
• Contribution processing, monitoring and reporting
• Fee processing and collection
• Bank and investment reconciliations
• ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) and compliance checks
The role will also provide opportunities to contribute to and evolve working procedures, process flows and operational efficiencies, where relevant.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Educated to A Level / AS Level Standard (or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines (once full training given)
• Excellent communication and personal skills with a strong customer service ethic
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel/Word)
• Previous office experience would be beneficial for this person to be able to ‘hit the ground running’ with their training
• Understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML) compliance is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Training Provided
Full on the job training will be provided for the role, in addition to compulsory AML training. A full induction will introduce the individual to the company, working environment and teams.
