Job Purpose: Help provide an efficient laundry service for Dementia Care and Support Services, ensuring residents always have clean clothing, linen and bedding. Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection prevention and safety while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the laundry.  

Duties
- Take responsibility for the daily running of the main laundry area.
- Wash, dry, iron and care for residents' clothing, linen and bedding.
- Ensure clothing is correctly labelled and returned to the right resident.
- Arrange off-site dry cleaning when required.
- Maintain accurate records for laundry sent off-site and returned.
- Complete all required records and checklists.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
- Monitor and maintain laundry supplies and stores.
- Report health and safety concerns, equipment faults or other issues promptly.
- Accept additional laundry duties as directed by managers.
- Attend training, meetings and supervision sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' dignity and privacy.
- Follow health and safety, COSHH, data protection and organisational policies at all times.

- Satisfactory police check.

Desirable Skills  
- Previous experience working as a Laundry Operator.
- Isle of Man Worker status.
