Job Title: Bank Health Care Assistant
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) works under the direction of a Registered Practitioner to deliver patient care as part of a multi-professional team. Duties include supporting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring and recording basic clinical observations, assisting with personal care and mobility, and contributing to quality initiatives. The HCA is expected to maintain professional development through mandatory training and continuous learning.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Willingness to attain NVQ Level II in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Basic IT skills.
- No prior experience required, but willingness to learn and develop is essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Teamwork and flexibility.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Enthusiastic and proactive about delivering high-quality care.
Compliance
- Adherence to hospital policies, including Health and Safety and confidentiality guidelines.
- Satisfactory police check.
Desirable Skills and Requirements
- Previous experience caring for sick individuals.
- Knowledge of hospital systems and procedures (e.g., Patient Administration System).
- Familiarity with clinical governance concepts.
