Are you hands-on, reliable, and keen to learn a practical trade? We’re looking for enthusiastic Apprentice / Trainee Flooring Fitters to join our team and train in all aspects of the flooring industry.
You’ll learn to install a wide range of floor coverings, including:
- Carpets and carpet tiles
- Vinyl flooring
- Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) – including glue-down and click systems
You’ll gain hands-on experience in every stage of the job, including:
- Uplifting and removing existing flooring
- Fitting grippers, underlays, thresholds, trims, and stair nosings
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting different flooring types
- Preparing subfloors, including ply boarding and screeding
- Learning to read layout plans and cut materials accurately
- Understanding adhesives, floor finishes, and site safety
This is a manual, physically active role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and seeing a project through from start to finish.
A full driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
